UNICOI - Bill Weiler, age 88, of Unicoi, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Chicago, IL, Bill is a son of the late Julius and Helen (Haugh) Weiler. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served during the Vietnam Era from 1956 to 1962 and earning the rank of Corporal. Bill served his community of Oak Lawn, IL as a police officer. He loved fishing and canoeing. In his later years, Bill moved to Unicoi, TN where he loved his little home in the mountains. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by one sister, Jean "Jeannie" Weiler.

Bill Weiler has left behind to cherish his memory: loving wife of 22 years, Pamela Soulier Weiler; children: Julie Staycoff (Bill), Jeff Weiler (Tok Cha), Ellen Kramer (Steve), Chris Weiler (Linda), Eric Weiler (Kristen), Tracy Schatz (Mike) and Jon Soulier (Vanessa); 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Bill Weiler in a graveside committal service with military honors to be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 1, 2024 in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pastor Art Gibson will officiate. Those attending should meet at Mountain Home National Cemetery by 1:50 pm for the service.
