JOHNSON CITY - Mrs. Mary Ruth Jeffers, age 97, of Johnson City, passed away February 17, 2026.
Mrs. Jeffers was a Washington County native and the daughter of the late Cecil and Mae Armstrong of Limestone. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Jeffers, and her sister and brother-in-law Fannye Kate and Tom Chase. She is survived by several cousins.
She graduated from Washington College Academy, attended Tusculum University, and retired from Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville. Mrs. Jeffers was a member of Munsey Methodist Church in Johnson City.
The Family will receive friends from 10-12, Friday, February 20th, at Zion Methodist Church of Baileyton, with a graveside to immediately follow at Zion Cemetery. Mrs. Jeffers will be buried beside her husband in Zion Cemetery at Baileyton, TN.
Jeffers Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
