Calvin Thomas Cable

ELIZABETHTON - Calvin Thomas Cable, age 67, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at his home. Calvins was born on January 6, 1959 in Unicoi, Tennessee to the late Joe and Ada (Bailey) Cable. In addition to his parents, Calvin was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Cable; and his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Viola Bailey; and his paternal grandfather, Wiley Cable.

Calvin served 2 years in the United States Army before being honorably discharged. He attended Happy Valley High School and had worked at Gordon's Furniture, Save-A-Lot and retired from Priceless Foods. Calvin was a kind hearted person and always had a smile on his face. He was and is loved and missed by his family and friends. Calvin also loved and enjoyed baseball, basketball, football (his favorites were the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Vols) and car racing.

Those left to cherish and remember Calvin include his siblings, Diane Bennett and husband Tony, Dale Cable and wife Sherri, Dallas Cable and girlfriend Donna; and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at a later date at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Thank you to the James H Quillen VA Medical Center for his care through the years, Amedysis Hospice for their care the last several months and to Dallas and Donna for all their devoted time, care and love for him.
