ERWIN – Mary JoEllen Tester, 81, of Erwin TN, gained her angel wings at 2:45 a.m. in the Center of Aging Healthcare, Erwin TN.
She was born May 30, 1942 in Watauga, TN to ralph and Edith (Felts) Feathers. Mrs. Tester is survived by two sons, Randall Dale Tester, James Steven Tester of Erwin, TN and one daughter, Cathy Jo (Tester) cooper and husband Earl of Erwin, TN; two sisters, Shirley Love of Erwin, TN, Linda Koelndorfer and husband John of FL; two granddaughters, Amanda JoElla Cooper of Erwin, TN, Sasha (Tester) Dixson of England; five grandsons, Nathanial cooper and wife Manda, Jonathan Carroll and wife Kristi, Jordan Carroll, R. Dayton Tester and wife Kayliegh, Derek Tester and wife Megan; eight great-grandchildren, Noly, Connor, Bella, Chesney, Havean, James and Freya, Erin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby C. Tester, Sr., two children, Kimberly (Tester) Carroll and Bobby C. Tester, Jr., one brother Ralph Feathers, four sisters, Dorothy Bright, Mildred Smith, Elouise Wills and Geraldine Cook.
Mrs. Tester retired from Texas Instruments/Siemens. Mary came from a line of strong women. Anyone who knew her knows there was never a dull moment. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and will be missed by many.
There will be no services or visitation at Mary Tester's request. A private gathering of her surviving children will be held at a later date.
