JOHNSON CITY - Barbara Holmes, 88, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at her residence.
She was born to the late Robert and Laura Garrison on February 16, 1938, in Elizabethton.
Barbara attended Central Baptist Church in Johnson City. She was a proud military wife and mother, faithfully supporting her family throughout their military travels. Barbara's strong faith and devotion to her family allowed her to create a loving home.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Holmes and sister, Charlotte Everett.
Barbara is survived by her four daughters, Cindy Miller, Deborah Hubbard (Michael), Stephanie Julian (Johnathan), and Kimberly A. Wilson; grandsons, Sonny Hubbard (Megan), Christopher Hubbard (Jenna), Nicolas Hubbard (Tiffany); Garrison Julian (Leah), Wyatt Julian, Hudson Wilson; granddaughter, Suesanna Julian; two great grandsons, Caiden and Greyson; sisters, Betty Hill, Eulee Atkinson, Shelby Salard; and brother, Gene Garrison.
A celebration of life service for Barbara will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026, 5:30pm at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City with Rev. Donald Julian, officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
Barbara will be laid to rest with her husband in Mountain Home National Cemetery.
