Frank Garrison Obituary

Frank "Lowell" Garrison

March 1, 2026

ELIZABETHTON - Frank "Lowell" Garrison, age 85, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his home. Lowell was born in Weaverville, North Carolina to the late Thomas and Alma Metter Garrison. In addition to his parents, Lowell was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruby Allman Garrison; and several brothers and sisters.

Lowell retired from Sprint Telephone Company and was a United States Army veteran. Lowell was a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church, and he loved his Lord, his church family and his neighbors. Lowell was a devoted husband and a loving father. He loved to help other people, gardening, mowing, being outdoors and working with his hands. Lowell also had a genuine love for animals and absolutely adored his dogs, Cricket and C.J.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Vanessa Garrison of Morristown, TN; and his brother, Ben Garrison and wife Judy of Cartersville, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A service to celebrate Lowell's life will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Reverend Jamie Ferguson, Reverend Rusty Verran, and Reverend Scott Greene officiating. Music will be under the direction of Randy and Vanessa Garrison. The family will receive friends between the hours of 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Wednesday. The service will also be livestreamed from the Chapel on Wednesday.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at the graveside. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Barrickman, Eric Heaton, John Mattox, Richard "Jar Fly" Dugger, David Long, Garrett Deloach, Gary Deloach, Ken McKinney and Steve Hodge. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 PM on Wednesday.

A special thank you to Amedysis Home Health, Silver Angels-especially his caregiver Tessa, the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, his caring neighbors and his church family for their love and care throughout Lowell's illness.
