John Siele, Sr. September 11, 1943 - September 14, 2024
JOHNSON CITY - John Siele, Sr. was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 11, 1943 and passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024 in Johnson City, Tennessee. John was a resident of Johnson City, Tennessee for the last 34 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army where he served in the helicopter rescue among other various duties.
John met and married his beloved wife, Harriet shortly after moving to Johnson City. There they built a life together filled with much love and happiness. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. John was known for his kindness and generosity. There was never a task too great or too small if it meant helping someone in need. He was truly a champion of the underdog and sincere friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Virginia, sister, Maureen, and nephew, Christopher.
John leaves behind a legacy of love through his family; his wife, Harriet Tipping-Siele, sons and daughters-in-law, John, Jr. (Melissa) Mark (Gina) and Luke; his cherished grandchildren Bryce and Brooke, brother, Bobby (Melody) along with sister-in-law, Debby (Craig) and brother-in-law, David, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was loved by all and will be deeply missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Morris-Baker Funeral home from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A private burial will take place in Mountain Home National Cemetery.
