JOHNSON CITY - Freddie Dean Saults, Sr., age 80, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a son of the late George W. Saults, Sr. and Georgia Erwin Saults. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Nadine" Saults; one daughter, Kathy Gail Gaddy; and one son, Freddie Dean Saults, Jr.
Freddie was the owner and operator of Johnson City Oil Burner Service. He was a member of the Johnson City Moose Lodge where he had served as Past Governor and was also a member of the Johnson City Elks Lodge. He loved to golf, was a very hard worker and will be remember as one who was a comedian and loved to cut up and have fun.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Saults and wife Toy; five grandchildren, Ashley Johnston and husband Patrick, Alan Saults and wife Chelsea, Candice Gaddy, Christopher Saults, and Tina Saults; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Committal Service and Interment will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the Garden of Peace at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Pastor Greg Doebler officiating. Pallbearers will be William Gaddy, Alan Saults, Christopher Saults, Patrick Johnston, Tyler Lewis, and Colton Saults.
