Constance "Connie" Dykes May 9, 2024
JOHNSON CITY - Constance "Connie" Dykes, 84, passed away on May 9, 2024, in Johnson City, TN. She will be remembered as a strong-willed woman whom everyone loved.
Connie is survived by her children, Doreen Hyatt and Larry Miller, Robert "Bobby" (Lisa) Dykes, Karen Poarch, Van (Becky) Dykes, sister, Cheryl (Al) Parisi; nephew, Chris Parisi; grandchildren, Samantha, Amanda, Carissa, Justin, Austin, Jessica, Hollie, Matthew, Amber, Shane, Jerry, Kayla, Connie, Johnny, and Wayne; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Vestil Dykes, parents, Elza and Constance Sockey, children, William Dykes, Matthew Dykes, Connie Dykes, and Manda Ruth Edwards, and grandson, Van Dykes, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 5 pm until 7 pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 7 pm, with Pastor Mark Street and Pastor Allen Evans officiating. A graveside Service will be held at Colbaugh Cemetery, Elizabethton, TN on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11 am and everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am.
