Sheila Nidiffer Obituary

ELIZABETHTON - Sheila Faye Grindstaff Nidiffer, age 67, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Sheila was born in Carter County to the late Earl and Lora Shouse Grindstaff. In addition to her parents, Sheila was also preceded in death by her brothers, Tex and wife Thelma, Jerry and wife Shirley, Bob and Joe and wife Betty; a niece, Rachel; and a nephew, Robert.

Sheila had worked as an administrative assistant and was a member of Unaka Baptist Church for most of her life. She loved her granddaughter and her family and enjoyed singing at church, calling up her son and her friend Hope and chatting with them every day.

Those left to cherish Sheila's memory include her husband, Conley Nidiffer of the home; her son, James Grindstaff and wife Christine; her beloved granddaughter, Emmaline Grindstaff; her sister, Janice Calloway; and her nieces, Paula and Julie.

A memorial service to celebrate Sheila's life will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton.

The family wishes to thank Hope Rambo, Sheila's very good friend, who was so helpful during Sheila's illness.
