ELIZABETHTON - David Paul Krug, age 75, of Elizabethton, Tennessee departed for Paradise on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from the Lakebridge Health Center. David was born in Longview, Texas to the late Paul William Krug and Dorothy Mae Watson Krug.

David retired as a minister, after 39 faithful years, having ministered to thousands of people in both Texas and Virginia. He was also a United States Navy veteran and served his country proudly from 1969-1974. David was most recently a member of Stoney creek Church of Christ and was a history buff and loved writing. He was also a gifted guitarist and loved all music, was an avid Beatles fan and taught his children the love of music. David loved his pets, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and Texas Longhorns fan. Most of all, David loved the Lord and his family.

Those left to continue his legacy include his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Denise Krug of the home; three beloved children, Zackery (Laura) Krug of Elizabethton, Karen "Monkey" (Martin) Montgomery of Roan Mountain, and Emily Krug (Zachary) Cooley of Wytheville, VA; five grandchildren, Shea, Kaylie (Danny), Evan (Maggie), Gabriel, and Bella; one great granddaughter, Evelyn; and one brother, Mark (Debbie) Krug of Mt. Pleasant, TX.

A celebration of David's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in the Stoney Creek Church of Christ with Mr. Bill Haywood and Mr. Zack Krug officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Tri Cities School of Preaching, 1162 Highway 91, Elizabethton, TN 37643 in memory of David.
