ROAN MOUNTAIN - Sharlene Largent Roberson, 75. Roan Mountain, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at her residence. She was born June 11, 1947 in Roan Mountain to the late Oscar & Mary Lillie Julian Largent. She was a graduate of Hampton High School. Sharlene was a homemaker who loved cooking, gardening, sewing, fishing and most of all spending time with her family. She was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Tommie Roberson., and a sister: Louise Honeycutt.
Survivors include Five Children: Tim (Dana) Roberson, Tommy (Renee) Roberson, Tina Roberson (Randy Ellis), Tonya Roberson Japp (Nick DiGiovanni) and Tammie Ramsey. Grandchildren: Nikki Japp, Curtis Japp, Craig Japp, LeAnn Barnett, Harley Barnett, Devon Polifka, Dylan Polifka, Dalton Polifka, T.J. Roberson and Melena Roberson, Jessi Ellis. Great Grandchildren: Everleigh Polifka, Paisley and Grayson Barnett, Kenzie and Jake Wilson. One Great Great Granddaughter: Stormi Combs Her Brothers: Bill Julian, Eddie (Joyce) Largent, Clarence (Janet) Largent, Ernie Largent and Lawrence (Ann) Largent. Several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Honeycutt officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be her brothers. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, Renee Roberson and Dana Roberson for all their care. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 2:20 p.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
