Allen Wayne Osborne

September 2, 1974 -

March 27, 2026

JOHNSON CITY - Allen Wayne Osborne, age 51, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at his residence. Allen was born in Johnson City on September 2, 1974, to his parents, Rick and Kathy Osborne.

Allen is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Betty Winters; his paternal grandparents, Allie and Nyle Williams and his uncle, Roger Winters.

Allen Osborne was a highly respected electrical control specialist, widely regarded as one of the finest in this region. A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in engineering, Allen dedicated over 30 years to his craft, earning the admiration of colleagues and clients alike for his skill and precision. Beyond his profession, he had a deep love for stereo equipment and automobiles, always appreciating the perfect balance of sound and performance. Allen was also an accomplished guitar player, finding joy in music throughout his life. Above all, he treasured his family and friends, forming countless meaningful connections, far too many to name. He shared a special bond with his beloved little dog, Ozzie, who was a constant companion. Allen will be remembered for his talent, his passions, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.

Those left to cherish Allen's memory include his parents, Rick and Kathy Osborne, of Elizabethton; his son, Tyler Colbaugh, of Blountville; numerous great aunts and cousins also survive.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Allen will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the Johnson Roanview Cemetery with Rev. John McCoury and Rev. Justin Deaton officiating. Those wishing to be a part of the service are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 12:50 PM on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Allen.
