Mildred W. Thompson, 83, passed away at her home on January 22, 2023, with her husband at her side. She was of Baptist faith. She had retired from Walmart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Eula Ward; one sister, Carolyn; two brothers, Harold and Lynn Ward; and two nephews, Tony and Frankie Duggar.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Thompson; one brother, Jimmy Ward (Jill); one sister, Phyllis Duggar (Robert) of Harmony, NC; her two boys, nephew Ethan Ward (Heather) and great-nephew, Hayden Ward and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Mildred and the family.
A graveside service officiated by Chaplain Stephen Shell will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at East Tennessee Funeral Home Cemetery located at 2630 Highway 75, Blountville, TN.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
