Mary Huff Obituary

ELIZABETHTON - Mary Sue Trammell Huff, age 74, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of William M Trammell, Sr. and the late Louise Stover Trammell. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Huff.

She is survived by her father, her daughter, Tunikia Shaeffer (Albert); two grandchildren that she raised, Lamont and Taylor; other grandchildren, Olivia and Josiah; her great grandchildren, Colton, Asher, Gatsby and Lucca; two sisters, Maxine and Elaine (James); two brothers, William Jr. (Cecilia) and Keith (Sharrah); nieces and nephews, Jamelia, Kirsten, Kendall, Kyle, Aminah, Solana, and Gabriella; great niece, JaTaela and great nephew, Jaxton; an aunt, Evelyn Hagler; an uncle, Charles Stover (Patricia); her in-laws, Danny Huff Sr. (Peggy), Brenda Huff Bond, Katherine Huff Blume; and a cousin, whom she thought of as a sister, Betty Jenkins and a host of other cousins and friends.

Mary Sue "Suzzie" was a 1967 graduate of Elizabethton High School and retired from Snap-On-Tools in Elizabethton. Mary Sue was a loving daughter, sister and mother to all of her family. Her strength and conviction to care for her family was immeasurable and she will be greatly missed.

An open visitation will be conducted between the hours of 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 without the family present.

Visitation with the family will be conducted between the hours of 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with the celebration of life following at 1:30 PM with Reverend Frank Flowe and Reverend Patricia Stover officiating.

The committal and entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
