JOHNSON CITY - Jean N. Wagner, 83, Johnson City, died Friday, December 6, 2024, at NHC Healthcare, following a brief illness.

Jean was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late William Clifford and Grace Wilcox Morrow.

Jean worked for Baxter Pharmaseal for more than thirty years, retiring in 1994 as a production operator.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Jean loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Wagner, in 2018, her son, Jimmy Wagner, Jr., earlier this year, two brothers, Bobby and Ray Morrow, and a son-in-law, Rick Culler.

Jean is survived by, three daughters, Sherrie Mackley, Johnson City, Robin Culler, Elizabethton, and Angie Sells (Ronnie), Johnson City; her sister, Betty Cole, Johnson City; five grandchildren, Josh Wagner (Jackie), Milan, Mikki Lynn Mackley, Johnson City, Heather Culler (Ryan), Nashville, Brittany Alexander (Jordan), Johnson City; Moe Sells, Johnson City; nine great-grandchildren, Levi, Mia Kate and Hayes Wagner, Derrick, Mikkenlee and Jamison Smith, Alexis and Jamari Alexander, Trinity Sells; special brother-in-law, Kenneth Wagner; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Jean will be conducted Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 1:00 P.M., from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with Pastor Chuck Babb, officiating.

Graveside committal service will follow in Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Derrick and Jamison Smith, Ronnie and Moe Sells, Russell and Joe DeGroat.

The family will receive friends Thursday prior to the service from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.

Those who prefer to make memorial contributions in-lieu-of flowers are requested to do so to Sinking Creek Baptist Church, 2313 Elizabethton Hwy., Johnson City, TN 37601.
