Donald Lewis Lockmiller

JOHNSON CITY - Donald Lewis Lockmiller, 94, of Johnson City, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026. Born January 6, 1932, in Athens, TN, he lived a life grounded in faith, service, and devotion to family. Don graduated from ETSU after attending Tennessee Wesleyan and later served two years in the U.S. Army. He spent his career in banking, retiring from First Tennessee Bank in 1998. A longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, he served as an elder and was honored as Elder Emeritus.

Don is survived by his wife, Sue; his son, David Lockmiller (Jenny) of Johnson City; his daughter, Julie Duguay (Bob) of Indianapolis; his son, Brad Carson (Paige) of Center Grove, IN; and his daughter, Laurie Boicourt (Vic) of Scottsburg, IN. He is also survived by five grandchildren-Jesse Morris, Kayla Morris, Kyle Carson, Janelle Robertson, and Jaycie Miller-and three great-grandchildren: Carson Goines, Cyrus Carson, and Lucas Carson. The family extends their gratitude to Nikki Thompson for her care and companionship.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. on April 22 at First Presbyterian Church, with visitation at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City.
