Today I learned, from a former teacher, of the passing of Coach Ratliff. My heart-felt deepest condolences go out to his family during this time.
Coach Ratliff was my 8th grade English teacher in 1990/1991 at BCMS. He was honestly my favorite teacher ever and even today in my life, I often reflect on many of the things he taught me, not only about academics but also life. I have many, many fond memories of Coach but my all time favorite was being on the lake at our "exclusive" 8th grade water-skiing event and him making it his mission to teach me to water-ski...he succeeded in helping me conquer that fear. He was not only a teacher but a wonderful mentor! He made a difference in the lives of many while on this earth and he will forever be remembered and missed.
With love and prayers to his beautiful family left to cherish and keep his memory alive!

My memories of Billy go back to first grade at Elm Street and all the way thru High School. I remember how intelligent he was. Always being a leader in our class. He truly found his calling in educating children. So sorry for your loss. I am honored to have known him.

Bill will always be in our hearts for his love of life and the love he gave to his friends and family. We met first as river friends. He was always the one to organize gatherings, build the bonfire and cook the best food ever! Over the years we became friends of the heart. He is in his forever home in heaven. God bless his family and may you be comforted in this time of loss. Our love to all
