KNOXVILLE - William Michael Pattillo, age 75, died in Knoxville, TN on October 30, 2025. He was born in Atlanta, GA, March 2, 1950, to Jeanne and Bill Pattillo. He lived in various locations as an Army dependent, his favorite being San Antonio, TX. On his father's death he and his family moved to Johnson City, TN.
Mike graduated from Science Hill High School in 1968. He attended East Tennessee State University studying nursing. He was in the Army during Vietnam, serving stateside. He trained further at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, graduating as a 91-C. He continued to serve in the Army Reserves for more than 20 years, including a tour in Iraq during Desert Storm with the 912th MASH unit.
Left to ponder his memory are his children, Bill Pattillo, Matt Pattillo, Katie McGuire, and Michelle Pattillo; stepson, Daniel Bishop; brother, Tom Pattillo; sister, Tina Fields, several grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
