Vista Mae & Eli James Chandler

JOHNSON CITY - Vista Mae Chandler, age 4, and Eli James Chandler, 1 year old, of Johnson City, TN passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at their residence. Vista was born on December 7, 2019, and Eli recently celebrated his first birthday on October 21. Their parents were James Neal and Jessica Marie Chandler. Both children were perfect in every way. Vista loved riding her e-bike, swinging, playing in her sandbox, building forts, and playing with playdough. Eli just started walking and was into everything. He loved eating real food, playing with trucks, flopping around on the bed with his sister, and being outside in the yard. They were inseparable. Vista was the best big sister and had the biggest heart and she picked flowers for everybody. Eli was the happiest baby and was always smiling and laughing.

They are preceded in death by their grandmothers Brenda Johnson and Norma Bowman; and great-grandmother Joyce Buchanan.

Along with their parents, those left to cherish their memories include their grandparents Jay "GW" & Jane Mariz Chandler, of Burnsville, NC, Todd A. Johnson, of Shelby, NC, and Johnny Bowmen, of Johnson City, TN; great-grandparents Rose & James Byrd, Cathy & John Johnson, of Shelby, NC, and Dallas Chandler, of Burnsville, NC; great-great-grandmother Joyce Grigg, of Shelby, NC; along with a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews that loved them dearly and are too many to name.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 2:45 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home. The funeral service to celebrate their life will follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm with Rev. John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain.
