Venus "Coy" Blevins

Venus "Coy" Blevins, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful woman of God, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 12th, 2025.

Her life was a testament to love, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family and to God. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Alfred and Juanita Wheelock.

Coy was married to McArthur Blevins on July 27th, 1967, and they shared 35 years of marriage before his death in 2002.

In addition to her parents and husband, Coy was preceded in death by: her brothers, Gary Wheelock and Ross Wheelock; and twin grandsons, Johnathan and Matthew Blevins.

Coy leaves behind: her two sons, Steve Blevins and Scott Blevins (Jenifer); four grandchildren, Sidney Blevins, Seth Blevins, Patrick Blevins (Madison), and Keri Bailey (Seth); seven great-grandchildren, Strummer, Hadley, Syelus, Aubrey, Opal, Lennox, and Emmett; her beloved sister, Donna Ashton; brothers, Arlin Wheelock and Roscoe Wheelock; and several nieces and nephews.

She poured her heart into her family and her faith, leaving behind a beautiful example of devotion, love, and loyalty. We take comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully in the presence of her Savior.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm till 4:00pm on Sunday November 16, 2025, in the Oak Hall at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service for Coy will begin immediately following the visitation at 4:00pm. Minister Jason Myers will be officiating the service.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00am on Monday November 17, 2025 at Garland Cemetery (in Stoney Creek) Elizabethton, Tennessee. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 10:50am.
