Tina Lee McKinney Ramsey November 12, 1965 - August 9, 2024

Tina Lee McKinney Ramsey, born November 12, 1965, left this world and joined her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness. She was such a special wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be forever loved and missed.

Tina was preceded in death by her father, Roy McKinney, whom she adored and infant son, Jason Nathaniel McKinney, whom she loved and always longed to see again.

She is survived by the love of her life, husband, James Ramsey, who was by her side at the time of her home-going. She is also survived by the absolute joy of her life, son Gavin Heaton, whom she raised to be an extraordinary young man of whom she was extremely proud. Other survivors include her mother, Brenda McKinney of Elizabethton, sister Teresa McKinney of Elizabethton, and brother, Tim McKinney of Nashville. Family was very important to Tina, and she made them a priority in her everyday life.

Tina was a licensed insurance agent who went above and beyond to take care of her customers, many of whom became friends. Tina was compassionate and was known to pay premiums out of her pocket for many clients who were experiencing hard times.

Tina was a cherished member of Valley Forge Christian Church, where she served in many roles over the years, including teacher, choir member, van worker, and VBS/ Christmas Program Director. She truly had a servant's heart and loved her church family. A Celebration of Life service for Tina will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday August 13, 2024 at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Dr. David Siebenaler and Dr. David Tysinger officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service.

The graveside service and interment will follow the service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
