Thomas Lloyd Stetler

ELIZABETHTON - Thomas Lloyd Stetler, Sr., age 82, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from Signature Health and Rehabilitation Center. Thomas was born August 30, 1943, in Jersey City, New Jersey, a son of the late Fremont E. Stetler and Frances (Weisse) Stetler. In addition to his parents, Thomas was also preceded in death by his brothers, Fremont Stetler, Johnny Michael Stetler, Richard Stetler, and Kenny Stetler; and two sisters, Irene Williams and Jeannie Stetler.

Thomas retired as a construction inspector and enjoyed hiking, bike riding, and studying his bible. Thomas was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church but enjoyed attending many churches. He attended Bible Study Breakfasts and was a true Good Samaritan and served the Lord with his whole heart.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Helen Stetler; three children, Helen Holder of Elizabethton, Thomas Lloyd Stetler, Jr. and wife Sharon of Beverly Hills, Florida, and Amy Lynn David and husband Thomas of Charlottsville, Virginia; four grandchildren, Andrea Eum of Johnson City, Thomas Hardin of Elizabethton, Dan David of London, England, and Wesley David of Charlottesville, Virginia; four great grandchildren, Nicholas Angel, Grayson Eum, Chloe Kate Eum, and Kallie Hardin; and one sister, Carolyn Markle of New York. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

A celebration of Thomas's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 2, 2026, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Pastor Jack Greenoe officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Monday. The service will be livestreamed from the chapel beginning promptly at 2:00 PM on Monday.
