Mrs. Shirley Mashburn Percell

TELFORD - Mrs. Shirley Mashburn Percell, age 76, of Telford, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, with her family by her side.

She was born on June 19, 1948, to the late Ralph and Florence Garland Mashburn in Washington County, Tennessee.

Shirley worked for 37 years in Patient Transport for the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a hard worker and continued working until her cancer diagnosis. Shirley loved her family and her friends but she adored watching her four grandsons play sports; she was their biggest fan in everything they were involved in. She loved hiking, walking and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Percell.

Survivors include her son, David Wayne Percell and his wife, Cindy; daughter, Shannon Smith and her husband, Henry; grandsons, Alex Percell, Derek Percell, Braden Autrey, and Eli Smith; sister, Phylis Peterson and her husband, Herb; brother, Col. J. Harold "Bob" Mashburn and his wife, Susan; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Fisher and Elder Pat Tester officiating. Music will be provided by son-in-law, Henry Smith. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 to 7:00 PM also at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Mayberry-Vincent Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:45 AM.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and family members.
