Sharon Tipton Obituary

CHAPEL HILL - Sharon "Sue" Ann Tipton, age 73, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023. A native of Erwin, Sue is a daughter of the late Arebella (Smith) Hyder. She loved ceramics, sewing, cooking and camping. Sue was an avid doll collector. She loved her dolls and was a great mother and grandmother. In addition to her mother, Sue is preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Bryant.

Sharon "Sue" Ann Tipton has left behind to cherish her memory: husband of 57 years, Johnny Tipton; daughter, Connie Bobo and husband, Steven; son, Ronald Tipton; grandchildren: Tiffani, Whitney, Tahni, Dylan, JR, Isabella, Hayden and Jayce; great-grandchild, Peyton; sister, Linda Woodby; and brothers: Clarence Blankeship and wife, Trish, and Roger Blankenship and wife, Darlene.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Sharon "Sue" Ann Tipton in a committal service to be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in Evergreen Cemetery. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 12:00 pm and will continue until 2:00 pm on Saturday at Valley Funeral Home. Those attending the committal service should meet at Valley Funeral Home by 2:00 pm on Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be notified.
