Roger Tunnell Obituary

Roger Ryan Tunnell of Johnson City, TN was born on December 28, 1968 to Roger Allen Tunnell and Carol Laverne Guinn Burroughs and passed away on October 20, 2025 at the age of 56 and is now present with his Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Roger Tunnell, his grandparents, Paul and MaryBell Tunnell and Grady and Gertie Guinn and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was very close to his great-uncle and great-aunt, Herbert and Mary Tunnell, and great-uncle George Tunnell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Carol Burroughs; his siblings, Jeff Tunnell (Melinda), Randy Tunnell, Michele McCarley, Giny Dougherty (Bill), Roger Tunnell; his nephews and nieces, Mitchell Reece (Jessica), Haley Bowman (Jon), Brittany Crockett (Jermaine), Calyx Dougherty, Aleister Sumner, Macie Dougherty, and Kaycyn Tunnell; his great-nephews and great-nieces, Matthew Patterson, Landon Hicks, Madison Sanchez, Ashton Crockett and Zaidon Crockett.
We would like to thank Ballad Health and Gentiva Hospice for his care. A celebration of Ryan's life will be Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 1:00pm at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Johnson City, TN. Online condolences may be sent through www.trinitymemorialcenters.com.
In lieu of flowers, Ryan requested that any donations go to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
