Robert Foster Obituary

ERWIN - Robert Eugene Foster, age 84, of Erwin, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Unicoi County Hospital. A native of Erwin, Robert is a son of the late Andy Thomas and Zettie (Chandler) Foster. He was a member of West Park Street Baptist Church. Robert sang in a gospel group, loved to fish, cherished his grandchildren, loved to sing and lead the choir. Robert worked at Nuclear Fuel Services for 17 years and Industrial Garment for 16 years. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Armita (Maye) Foster and siblings: Oliver Foster, May Hughes, Ray Foster, Rosie Stancil, Pauline King, Arvil Foster, Raymond Foster, William Andy Foster, Loraine Simmons, Frances Ingle, Gladys Bailey, Edna Lloyd, Dorothy Baucom and Billy Foster.

Robert has left behind to cherish his memory: children: Kimberly Foster Miller of Erwin, TN, Robert E. Foster II of Erwin, TN and Falon Nicole Vallie of Erwin, TN; grandchildren: Cory Allen Bailey, Tiffany Blair Rogers, Robert Dyllan Chase Foster, Makenzie Foster and Harrison Foster: great-grandchildren: Brayhdon Vallie, Wyatt Vallie, Jaxon Vallie, Neyla Vallie, Christopher W. Ball, Katie Ann Rogers, Jessica Rogers and Lester Rogers III.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the

life of Robert Eugene Foster in a funeral service to be held at 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Autrey will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 6:00 pm and will continue until service time on Saturday. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 am, Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Those who wish to attend will meet at Evergreen Cemetery by 8:50 am.
