Robert Glenn Crain July 25, 1940 - September 2, 2024
Robert Glenn Crain, 84, Elizabethton passed away peacefully Monday, September 02, 2024 at Ivy Hall,
Elizabethton. In the weeks leading up to his passing, Glenn was surrounded by loving family members and friends.
He was born July 25, 1940 in Limestone, Tennessee, the son of Estol G. and Geneva E. (Edwards) Crain. Glenn married Phyllis Powell in 1988 and they spent 36 happy years together, It is a comfort to his family to know that he has found eternal peace in the hands of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and has rejoined with many family members who awaited him there.
Glenn was always a very outgoing person and spent most of his adult life in sales of some sort.
He was a real people person and always said he didn't want to sell someone anything, but wanted to help them buy the things they needed. He enjoyed spending time with family, singing in Quartets, his work, traveling, gardening, boating and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis and her daughter Ann (Mike) Holt; his daughter Pamela Crain Wilson, grandson, William Scott Felts, great grandson, Carter Harrison Felts, of Johnson City. His brother, Gary L. (Cheryl) Crain, nieces Terri (Ken) Goodman and daughter Alise of Sycamore, Illinois and Traci (Robbie) Drell) of Springfield, Illinois and her daughter Ashlyn of St. Paul Minnesota, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son Ricky Glenn Crain and stepson, Terry Wayne Snead, his parents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special thanks to his caregivers at Ivy Hall for their kindness and special attention in taking such good care of him during his stay there.
