Robert "Bob" Conley

JONESBOROUGH - Bob Conley, 94, of Jonesborough, TN, passed away on March 7, 2025.

Born on February 27, 1931, in Washington County, TN, Bob was the son of the late Paul and Effie Conley. He proudly served eight years in the National Guard and was a dedicated member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union 538 in Johnson City for 70 years. A skilled craftsman, Bob was also a proud member of the Knifemakers' Guild, demonstrating his remarkable talent in everything he pursued.

Bob was a man of strong faith and a devoted member of Central Christian Church in Jonesborough. He will be remembered for his craftsmanship, work ethic, and the kindness he extended to all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, skill, and love for his family and community.

Including his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde and J.D. Conley.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of over seventy years, Betty Conley; sister, Margaret Smith; nephews, Jeremy Deanhardt, Mike Conley, and Scott Conley; nieces, Misty Waldrop and Gale Lewis; sister-in-law, Connie Deanhardt and husband David; several great nieces; the apple of his eye, Rylee; and two special friends, Rick Ingram and Larry Proffitt.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm in the chapel, with Pastor John Moore officiating. Everyone attending is asked to wear blue in Bob's honor.

Bob will be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
