Rhonda Sue Duncan April 2, 2024 GRAY - Rhonda Sue Duncan, 71, of the Gray community, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, April 2, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness with her family by her side. She was born to the late Charles F. and Anjil (Malone) Kirkpatrick. In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Kirkpatrick. She was a member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. Rhonda loved her church family, spending time with her family, working at the school, and her dogs Gunner and Hope.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-two years, Rick Duncan; children, Angie Gillis (Larry), Wes Duncan (Amy); grandchildren, Ashley Bailey (James), Whitney Gillis, Zachariah Duncan, and Olivia Duncan; great-grandchild, Sabrena; one great-grandchild on the way, baby Charlotte; special friends, Debby Deakins, Kay Carty, and Sandy Lester.
The Duncan family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, 197 Suncrest St. Gray, TN 37615, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow the Visitation at 7 p.m. with her son Wes Duncan and Pastor John Herdman officiating. Graveside Service will be on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Sunrise Cemetery in Bluff City beginning at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone who wishes to attend the Graveside is asked to meet at the cemetery on Saturday morning, at 10:50 a.m.
