GRAY - Mr. Rendall Burgess, 74, of Gray, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 4, 2023. He was a lifelong resident of Gray, TN. Rendall was the son of the late Lawrence and Irene Burgess.
Rendall graduated from Cocke County High School in 1966 and was a member of Boones Creek Methodist Church.
He retired from Microporous Products in 2016. He was a loving father and granddaddy. He enjoyed weed eating, mowing, farming, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Rendall was preceded in death by his loving wife Portia Burgess; one daughter, Andrea Nicole (Nikki) Burgess; two brothers, Lawrence Jeesie Burgess, and Ronald Trevor Burgess.
Those left to cherish Rendall's memory include his children, Morgan Blair Hyatt and her husband John and Rendall Quincy Blake Burgess and his wife Andrea; grandchildren, Hayden Metcalf, Hadley Arnett, Chandler Burgess, and Corbin Burgess; one great-grandson, Lucius Caudill; one special nephew, Robbie Burgess and his wife Shelly; cousins, Danny Dover and his wife Gwen, Shorty Burgess, Ronnie Massey and Ilene Rinehart, Katie Waynick and Ricky Burgess.
The family will greet friends to share memories on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City. A celebration of Rendall's life will follow at 7:00 pm with Mr. Larry Shropshire officiating.
Honorary pallbearers include Quincy Burgess, Chandler Burgess, Corbin Burgess, Robbie Burgess, Lucius Caudill, John Hyatt, and Hayden Metcalf.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Becca and Vanessa with Amedisys for caring for Rendall for the past several months. They would also like to extend a special thanks to Lakebridge, A Waters Community for caring for him as well.
