Regina Arrowood Obituary

Regina Cheryl Arrowood

July 23, 1946 -

September 11, 2025

Regina "Cheryl" Arrowood was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on September 11, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, J.H. Arrowood; her parents, Ernest "Hobart" and Elsie Brown; her sister, Earnestine Stewart; brothers-in-law, LeRay Carl and Joe Stewart; and sister-in-law, Diane Brown.

She is survived by her siblings: Cindy Carl, Monty Brown, and Paula "Renee" Brown; her two sons: Lee Arrowood (Kelly) and Christopher Dwayne "Peewee" Arrowood (Melissa); her grandchildren: John Arrowood (Rachelle), Kristina Gilley (Paul), Billy Arrowood, Brandon Arrowood (Taylor), Justin Odom (Katie), Austin Odom (Mariah), Sierra Creasong (Troy), and Hailey Bowers (Jakob); eight great-grandchildren; two former daughters-in-law, Tammy Bacon and Paula Arrowood; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Cheryl was an active member of Bethel Church of Christ, and her love for the Lord was evident to all who knew her. She will be dearly remembered for the constant smile on her face and the hymn on her lips.

Cheryl was also an amazing cook. From her Thanksgiving pies to her mac-n-cheese-often described as "heavenly"-she could frequently be found in the kitchen making family favorites. Her love of cooking extended beyond the home to Washington County Schools, where she retired after many years of service as a cafeteria worker.

The family would like to thank the staff at NHC in Johnson City and Amedisys Hospice for their gentle and supportive care.

Cheryl will be deeply missed by her loved ones, but they hold to the hope of a reunion in heaven, where she'll be found singing Statler Brothers tunes and rolling out biscuits.

A celebration of her full and beautiful life will be held at Bethel Church of Christ (234 Tommy Campbell Road, Jonesborough)on Thursday September 18, 2025, with receiving of friends from 5:00-7:00 pm and service following.
