Raymond Bennett October 2, 1938- June 22, 2024
JOHNSON CITY - Raymond Bennett, 85, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Raymond was born October 2, 1938, to the late Spencer Bennett and Edith Lilly Bennett.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by five brothers, Spencer T. Bennett, Floyd Bennett, Steve Bennett, Tim Bennett, and Jerry Bennett; two sisters, Joann Clay, and Judy Hyduk.
Raymond worked at Accurate Machine for forty-four years.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-two years, Frances Estep Bennett; two sons, Jeff Bennett and Jim Bennett and his wife Angie; sister, Nancy McKinney, and her husband Gordon; three grandchildren, Josh Bennett, Chris Bennett and his wife Courtney and Jenn Walls and her husband Cory; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside committal service for Raymond Bennett will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11 am in the Barnett Cemetery, Johnson City with Pastor Randy English officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am Thursday.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff on the 2500 wing of the Johnson City Medical Center for their comfort and care during this time.
