October 6, 2025

JOHNSON CITY - Mr. Randolph Lewis Walters, aka Randy, age 66, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on October 6, 2025, 7:12am, at Agape Rehab Center.

He was born to the late David and Ruby Hughes Walters on October 21, 1958, in Washington County, Tennessee. Randy was a self-made vehicle mechanic who loved tinkering on old cars and trucks. He also loved going fishing.

Randy embodied compassion and care in every aspect of his life. He enjoyed working around his house before getting too sick to do so, but most importantly, spending time with his wife, grandkids, and family.

Randy was preceded in death by: mother, Ruby Hughes Walters; father, David Issac Walters; brother, Charles David Walters; brother-in-law, Gary Billy Kirk; and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Walters.

He leaves behind a void that cannot be filled. Randy lives on in the hearts of his devoted wife of 40 years, Barbara Walters; sons, Randal Walters and "Little" William Walters; daughter, Amber Walters; several grandkids and great-grandkids; brother, William Issac Walters; sisters, Brenda Garrett and Cleo Kirk; uncles, Will Walters, Billy Kirk, Larry Hyder, and Junior Walters; and aunts, Crystal Dawn Bowen, Jennifer Kirk, Rose Freeman, and Lisa Collins; along with the rest of his family and friends.

The Walters family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Morris Baker Funeral Home.

The date and time for the Committal Service for Randy Walters at the Fairview Community Cemetery in Jonesborough, Tennessee will be announced at a later date.

In this time of grief, let us come together to celebrate his life and the lasting impact that he had on all of us. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those who loved him as we bid him a fond farewell.
