Mrs. Phyllis Chase November 3, 1939- April 18, 2024

JONESBOROUGH - Mrs. Phyllis Chase, age 84, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Chase was born November 3, 1939, in Washington County, Tennessee to the late Thomas & Pearl Snodgrass Harkelroad. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. "Joe" Chase and a brother, Larry Harkelroad.

She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Chase retired from Baxter-Pharmaceuticals. She loved her cats and enjoyed gardening and collecting things.

Survivors include her children, Jeff Black (Linda), Johnson City, Scott Black, Garden City, SC, Tony Chase (Angie) and Connie Chase, all of Jonesborough; grandchildren, Amanda Chandler (Nathan), Bryan Black (Sandy), Adam Black, Jason Chase, Tony Chase, Jr. (Bailey) and Mandy Chase; five great-grandchildren; brother, J.L. Harkelroad, Johnson City; and a sister, Marylee Hill, Johnson City.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm Monday, April 22, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor John Moore officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
