Patricia Ann Jones May 15, 1950 - August 6, 2024
JOHNSON CITY - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Jones, known to many as Pat or "Tita", on August 6, 2024 after a battle with illness at Johnson City Medical Center.
Pat was born on May 15, 1950, in Johnson City, TN, to a loving family and raised by Floyd Benjamin and Olive Wight Cozad. She worked as a laborer in the manufacturing industry, dedicating herself to her craft with unwavering determination.
In 1992 Pat met her soulmate Burton Neil Jones in Johnson City at the Waffle House, one of her favorite spots. Though they didn't have any children. The children who Pat knew, knew they were part of her family. Despite facing life's challenges, Pat always maintained a positive attitude and a kind spirit. She was a hard worker and a loyal friend to those who knew her well.
Pat loved God. Her favorite phrase was "God is Good." She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved the Lord and her church family.
Pat was one of 12 children, 7 sisters and 4 brothers. Her sisters were her rock if you saw Pat she was with her sisters. Her nieces and nephews were the joy in her life. She loved those kids like her own and her home was where the kids went to. Pat leaves behind her sister Pasty Blevins. Patricia was preceded in death by: Sisters Joann Crawford, Eunice Owens, Ruthie Hollifield, Lynda Kious, Brothers Bob Cozad, Eldon Cozad, Olan Cozad, Russel Cozad and FA Cozad. In honor of Pat's life and legacy, her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, Pat. Your spirit will live on in our hearts.
Celebration of life service for Patricia Jones will be held Saturday, 10, 2024, at 6:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 211 Mayflower Rd, Johnson City, TN 37601. Graveside service will be held Monday August 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Home National Cemetery in the historic section.
