Patricia Bilbrey Grindstaff

July 5, 2025

LIMESTONE - Patricia Bilbrey Grindstaff, 78, of Limestone, went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends.

A Johnson City native, she was the youngest of three daughters born to the late Hubert and Mary (Seals) Haney.

She was a member of Charity Hill Free Will Baptist Church and also attended Central Baptist Church, where she worked for 31 years and retired as Janitorial Supervisor.

Pat was well-known for the love and pride she had in her family, her dedication to her job, and her devotion to the Lord. She was also a passionate fan of the Oak Ridge Boys, attending over 25 of their concerts. If you knew Pat, you knew she was a dedicated fan and groupie. It was said that Pat never knew a stranger. The Central Baptist Church family owes a debt of gratitude for the efficient and dedicated care she and her husband, Charles took of the church grounds.

Pat is survived by her work partner, best friend, and beloved husband, Charles Lester Grindstaff whom she married on January 31, 1988. Together they brought five children to the family, Lori Ann Hauk of JC, Ronnie Keith Yelton and his wife Lori Ann of Elizabethton, Charles Lester Grindstaff, Jr. and his wife Melissa of JC, Daniel Wayne Bilbrey and his wife Crystal of Nashville and Christopher Lee Grindstaff and his wife Stephine also of Elizabethton; seven grandchildren, Wesley, Michael, Dylan, Adamina, Dakota, Sophie Grace, Alexis; great-granddaughter, Anya; a special great nephew, Nicholas completed their happiness; special niece, Lisa Saults; Patricia was also very proud of her nephew Jody Saults and her great nephew Jacob Saults for their military service; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of friends and former colleagues also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. until service time. A graveside service will commence at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery.
