Nila Letterman Obituary

JONESBOROUGH - Mrs. Nila Ruth Letterman, age 84, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Letterman was born August 1, 1939, in Jonesborough, Tennessee to the late John & Ada Copas Ford. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne Graybeal and Virgil Letterman, brothers, Johnny Ford and Larry Ford, sisters, Rozella Graybeal (Bobby Graybeal) and Betty Lou Fair (Bobby Fair) and son-in-law, Junior McNeese.

She worked for many years at Slagle's Grocery in Sulphur Springs.

Survivors include a son, John Graybeal, Jonesborough; daughters, Karen McNeese, Gray, Leica McElyea, Johnson City and Michella Johnson (Mike Gray) Piney Flats; sisters-in-law, Sandra Ford Huffman, and Sheree Ford; brother-in-law, Carroll Graybeal; special cousin, Louella; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, February 9, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev Carroll Graybeal officiating.

Pallbearers will be family.
