To God be the glory, great things hath He done!
JOHNSON CITY - Mildred (Mid) Durham Rose, age 93, ran into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 13, 2023. Her faith has become sight.
Mildred was born to John and Stella Durham on August 10, 1930, in Dungannon, VA.
Mildred was a member of Highland Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health prevented it. She loved her family and friends, but above all, she loved the Lord, and she shared His love with everyone she met. Praising the Lord was her greatest joy.
Mildred worked at Diamond Exchange for over 25 years and considered the Spence family part of her extended family.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert (Bob) Rose; her parents, John and Stella Durham; and brother and sister-in-love, Donald and Betty Durham.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Connie Moore and son-in-love, Kyle Moore; her precious grandson, Logan, whom she cherished; brother, Chester Durham and wife, Norma, brother-in-law, Jimmy Rose and wife, Edna; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Mildred's many neighbors who looked after her faithfully: the Presnells (David and Carolyn), the Burlesons (Troy), Dwight Scott, and especially Debbie Walls, who Mildred considered a special friend and adopted daughter.
The family also wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice for their kind and loving care for Mildred.
A celebration of life service will be held at Highland Baptist Church, 300 Highland Church Road, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 7:00pm. Greg Cannon and Pastor Dave Mauger will jointly officiate the service. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm with the service to follow.
Mildred will be laid to rest beside her husband on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 2:00pm at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be men of Highland Baptist. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.tetrickfuneralhome.com. Tetrick Funeral Services, 3001 Peoples Street, Johnson City, TN 37604, is honored to serve the Rose family. (423) 610-7171.

MId was such a sweet friend and neighbor. I remember she cooked us dinner the day after we brought Jordan home from the hospital. She was a sweetheart and will be missed dearly.
