Melinda Kiser Obituary

JOHNSON CITY - On January 2, 2024, Melinda Kaye Vicars Kiser, age 56, of Johnson City, TN, passed away peacefully. Melinda was preceded in death by her boyfriend of many years, Roy D. Garland; grandmother, Edith K. Vicars; aunt and uncle, Brenda and Clifford Freeman; uncle, Jack Vicars; and uncle, Thomas Dotson.

Melinda never knew a stranger. She was loving and kind to everyone she met and she loved making new friends. She had a warm spirit, loved a good laugh, and a good song. Her beautiful smile made you smile. Melinda will always be in our hearts. She is forever our butterfly, and our sunshine to brighten every dreary day.

Melinda is survived by her father, Raleigh H. Vicars; her children, Katy Freeman, Desira Freeman, Conley Freeman, and Christopher "Jessie" Dall; her grandchildren, Jamison Freeman, Trinity Higgins, Jasper Freeman, Knox Freeman, and Obadiah Freeman; two aunts, Pearl Dotson and Amanda Keach; and many cousins.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life Ceremony at a later date.
