Mrs. Mary G. Cundiff June 30, 2024
JOHNSON CITY - Mrs. Mary G. Cundiff, age 93, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2024, at the Durham Hensley Nursing Home in Greeneville, Tennessee.
Mary was a native of Johnson City, Tennessee, and she spent her working years at Hamilton Bank, in downtown Johnson City. After relocating to Orlando, Florida, she worked many years at Sun Bank. After retiring, she returned to Johnson City, Tennessee.
She was the daughter of the late Hyder Rufus Minton and Reba Williamson Minton.
Mrs. Cundiff was the mother of 4 children, an incredible wife, mother, banker, housewife, gardener, seamstress, and Tennessee cook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John Harrison Cundiff, Jr and one brother, Jack Minton.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Herington and her husband Tom, and Mary Lee Cundiff, two sons, John Alan Cundiff and his wife Karen, and Gary Steven Cundiff and his wife Becky; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family of Mrs. Mary G. Cundiff invites family and friends to meet at 9:50 am in Monte Vista Memorial Park Saturday, July 6th, for a graveside service to begin at 10:00 am. Lunch will follow at Crosspoint Church 111 Conley Rd. Jonesborough, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
