JOHNSON CITY -It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Martha Gail Richardson, 81, Johnson City, who left this world peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, to join her husband to be with our Lord and Savior.
She was a native of Johnson City and was the cherished daughter of the late George and Elsie Johnson Orr.
Gail lived a life filled with kindness, strength and a devotion to family and church.
In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years whom she built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family, Bob Richardson. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Carol Orr.
Survivors include children, Debbie Richardson, Bobby Richardson (April), Danny Richardson (Jeannette), Timmy Richardson, Chris Richardson (Crystie), John Richardson (Amy), Kaylee and Khloe Richardson; grandchildren, Eric Richardson (Dany Ashburn), Megan Gunn (Austin), Josh Richardson (Candi), Jordan Richardson (Shelby), Darian Richardson (Hannah), Jessica Richardson (Matt Stevens), Ben Richardson, Karlee Richardson, Emily Sentell; great grandchildren, Audrey Lemar, Riley Gunn, Alison and Camille Richardson, Wyatt Richardson. Gail also opened her heart and home to many foster children over the years, offering them love, stability and a sense of belonging.
The funeral service for Gail will be conducted Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 am from the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City, with Pastor Butch Stout, officiating. The graveside committal service will follow at 1:00 pm in Mountain Home National Cemetery, Annex Site.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and share memories of the woman who meant so much to so many. Her family finds peace in knowing that Gail lived a full, beautiful life and is now reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her love will continue to live in our hearts.
