Marie Osborne Obituary

ELIZABETHTON - Marie Elizabeth Asher Osborne, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12, 2024 at her home in Elizabethton. Marie was born in Carter County to the late Henry Allen Asher and Ora Coefer Asher. In addition to her parents, Marie was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Osborne; and her beloved son, Greg Morris.

Marie had been employed in the manufacturing industry and was a devoted member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. She loved gardening and working in her yard, cooking and her beloved dog, "Barney". Marie was such a sweet and humble, Christian woman as well as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Those left to remember Marie include her daughter, Gina Rutherford of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Timmy and Chelsey Rutherford of Kingsport, Casey and Nick Davis of Elizabethton and Nikki and David Cook of Jonesborough; ten great grandchildren, Chloe, Ethan, Lucas, Lexi, Becca, Forrest, Liam, Asher, Ezra and Elizabeth; her sister, Gail Asher; and her special friends, Jerry and Darlene Hammonds and Hope Rambo.

A service to celebrate Marie's beautiful life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Pastor Eric Wright officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Friday.

The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2024 in the Garland Cemetery in the Stoney Creek Community of Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home at 9:15 AM on Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Marie to Poplar Grove Baptist Church, 2829 Highway 91, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
