Margaret Icenhour was born on November 17, 1929 to William Presley Osborne and Kate Able Osborne. She was the youngest of seven children born in a log cabin in Laurel Bloomery, TN.

Margaret met the love of her life, Joel, at the age of twelve in a bean patch. He helped her pick her bushel and the romance began. They had been married for 69 years when Joel went to be with the Lord.

Margaret's first job was at Leco as a seamstress. She went on to work for Levi Strauss until retirement. Margaret was also a valued caretaker of Iron Mountain Construction for over twenty years

Margaret loved a good yard sale and tending her booth at Collectables. She had a good eye for what was valuable. Margaret had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Margaret and Joel were charter members of Calvary Baptist Church where she served faithfully her entire adult life. She was also a faithful member of the Calvary Women's Circle and the Adult Women's Sunday school class. She loved her church family.

First and foremost she was Mommy and Mamaw. She loved her family with every fiber of her being. She prayed for and listened to each one of her five children and nearly fifty grandchildren, carrying their burdens as her own. She wanted to have a relationship with each one and wanted them to remember her. Most of all she wanted them to know Jesus.

Margaret leaves a legacy of love that will not be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow with Pastors Sam Icenhour and Steven Spencer officiating.
