ELIZABETHTON - Mack Dugger, age 90, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away at his home on Sunday, July 23, 2023. Mack was born in Elizabethton to the late George and Pearl Nidiffer Dugger. In addition to his parents, Mack was also preceded in death by two brothers, George "Bud" Dugger and Grady Dugger.
Mack retired from North American Rayon Corporation and was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. Mack enjoyed gardening, tinkering with projects of all kinds, watching the Atlanta Braves and spending time with nature.
Those left to cherish Mack's memory include his wife of 65 years, Zella Collins Dugger of the home; two sons, Richard (Beverly) Dugger and Brian (Denise) Dugger all of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Zachary, Katelynne and Nikole; and two great grandchildren, William and James. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Mack Dugger will be conducted at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Mr. Mike Koruschak, minister officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Wednesday.
The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
