ALBANY, GA - Louise Torbett Misamore, affectionately known as "G", passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Willson Hospice House in Albany, GA. A native of Piney Flats, Tennessee, Louise was born on May 29, 1945, to Porter E. and Martha K. Torbett.
Louise graduated from Mary Hughes High School in 1963 and went on to attend East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. On January 7, 1966, Louise married Ron Misamore. Shortly after Ron returned from Vietnam, Louise and her husband settled in Macon, GA where they lived until May of 2023. Together they had two children, Chris Misamore and Jeffrey Misamore.
Louise was most passionate about her family and close friends and the love that she was able to share with those close to her. The shining stars in Louise's life were her three grandchildren, EmilieAnne Misamore, Camden Misamore, and Landon Misamore. There was never a moment even at the end of her life that she was not fiercely proud and excited to share the love that she felt for each of them.
Louise is survived by her husband Ron Misamore of Albany, GA, her loving sister Ellen Torbett of Piney Flats, Tennessee, her son Chris Misamore and his wife, Birgit of Albany, GA, her son Jeffrey Misamore of Sandy Springs, GA, her grandchildren EmilieAnne Misamore of Columbia, SC, Camden Misamore, and Landon Misamore.
To celebrate G and the love that was shared for her, a Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on October 14, 2023 at her longtime church, Edgefield Methodist Church in Piney Flats, TN where her ashes will be laid to rest alongside her mother and father at Edgefield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Louise to Edgefield Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 745 N. Pickens Bridge Rd Piney Flats, TN 37686.
