BUTLER - Linda Tester Hollaway, age 82, of Butler, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Linda was born on October 29, 1943, in Carter County, the daughter of the late Nelson Richard Tester and Marjorie Lewis Tester. In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Mack Douglas Hollaway.
Linda was a graduate of Hampton High School Class of 1961 and had worked as a seamstress. Linda was a devoted member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church in Butler.
Those left to cherish Linda's memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kim Hollaway; grandchildren Brandon (Caroline) Hollaway and Britney (Logan) Burleson; and great-grandchildren Henley Burleson, Callie Burleson, Jaxson Hollaway, Roan Burleson, Mack Hollaway, and Laurel Burleson; and two nephews, Anthony Tester and James R. Tester, Jr.
A receiving of friends for Linda will be conducted between the hours of 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton.
The graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with her son, Brian Hollaway officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be David Hinkle, Jim Greenwell, Doyle Tester, Craig Tester, Logan Burleson, and Brandon Hollaway. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:50 PM on Wednesday.
