JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Leonard Dockery Jr., age 78, Jonesborough, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Mr. Dockery was born in Ft Blackmore, VA to the late Leonard and Daisy Gilliam Dockery. He was also preceded in death by brother David Dockery, stepdaughter Teri Warren and stepson Timmy Newman.
He was a US Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He enjoyed camping and sports.
Survivors include his wife Jonnie Dockery; two sons Brian Dockery (Missy), and James Dockery. Step children Tommy Newman (Ashley), Sheri Lewis (Mark), Lexy Long (Steve), Yvonne Garst (Doug), and son in law Scott Warren. Fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren, one brother Danny Dockery (Sue), one sister Trish McNew (Keith), and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted Monday evening November 17, 2025 6:00p.m. at Jonesborough Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Clark officiating. The family will receive family and friends 4:00 - 6:00 prior to the service.
Graveside service with military honors will be Tuesday, November 18, 2025 11:00a.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
