Larry Fields Obituary

KINGSPORT - Larry C. Fields, 75, of Kingsport, formerly of Jonesborough, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born to the late Claude and Joyce (Foister) Fields.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, he was a Purple Heart, Air Medal, and two Bronze Stars recipient. Larry was a retired car salesman and jack of all trades. He had a Bachelor's Degree in Business.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth, Wayne, and Jimmy Fields; and step-son, Nelson Britt.

Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-four years, Deborah Fields; children, Todd Fields (Donna), Brian Fields, and Lori Howell; seventeen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister; Diane Hill; step-children, Brian Smith (Kimberly) and Brad Smith; along with several nieces and nephews.

The Fields family will honor Larry's life with a Graveside Service on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Mountain Home National Cemetery beginning at 2 p.m. with Family Pastor Jerry Day officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post #4 of Kingsport. Mike Fields, Tim Fields, Scott Fields, Logan Fields, Brenton Fields, and Bryson Fields will serve as pallbearers. Everyone who wishes to attend the Graveside Service is asked to meet at the Funeral Home by 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday to proceed to the cemetery.
