Dean was a strong advocate for people with disabilities in Tennessee. It was my privilege to work with him for many years. He always had an ear for listening to others and an eye for innovation about services. I will miss him for those qualities and also for his numerous puns that always brought a laugh to those around him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during these difficult days. May your many good memories be a comfort to you.

Providers of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities lost a friend. More importantly, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities lost a friend and advocate. Rest easy, Dean. And, THANK YOU...
